A little bit of creativity that's good... for life!
I’m Martin Thomas, Senior Director for SAT-7 UK, writer, storymaker, children's author… and the creator of the Little Journal of Memories.
"All through the year the seasons turn.
And little by little... we begin to learn."
Let's join a campfire conversation that burns brightly for good... all through the year.
7-Minute Middle East Briefing
Once a month I record a short 7-Minute Briefing, unpacking the news, current affairs from across the MENA region, looking at the response of the church and the impact of SAT-7 satellite TV and digital media programmes. Join us on the go or at home as we take a stand against the negativity that so often surrounds the region. Listen to the latest episode here or click on the link to see more episodes, plus our "In conversation..." interviews and Voices from the Middle East testimonies.

Introducing the
Little Journal of Memories
Endorsed by parents, teachers
+ accredited by the Good Toy Guide!
The Little Journal of Memories was created to help us remember our own childhoods, write those memories down and then find creative ways to retell or recreate those stories with children. It is a print and online resource designed to inspire moments of connection, wellbeing, and the creative space for sharing stories and making memories... around our own campfires. For Christmas 2021 we were able to partner with primary schools across Oxfordshire, giving away over 250 Winter Editions to children and their families.
We will be re-launching four seasonal journals in 2025... so watch this space!
The Good Toy Guide says that the Little Journal promotes emotional development, increases attachment and communication between a parent and child, and supports development of literacy and global citizenship skills, particularly for families with children aged 4-9. Special thanks to Dr Amanda Gummer (Good Play Guide), for providing independent accreditation, and to the Jim Cousins Trust (based in Witney) who supported the initial development of the project in local schools.
Re-launching in 2025!
